❓ How do I start using Clipboard Safe?

Simply launch the app and start copying! Clipboard Safe will automatically save your copied content. No special permissions are needed for reading clipboard content. Accessibility permission is only requested when you try to paste content from the app.

❓ How do I search history?

Click the app icon to open the history panel, then enter keywords in the search box for quick lookup. Supports full-text search to help you quickly find what you need.

❓ How long is history saved?

The history limit can be adjusted in settings, ranging from 20 to 2000 entries. When the limit is reached, the oldest records are automatically deleted. You can also manually clear all history.

❓ Is my data safe?

Absolutely safe! Clipboard Safe:

  • All data is saved only locally on your Mac
  • No internet connection required, runs completely offline
  • Does not collect or upload any user data
  • Data is encrypted and stored locally

❓ How do I uninstall the app?

Drag the app from the "Applications" folder to the Trash.

Troubleshooting

🔧 App won't start

Solution:

  1. Ensure your macOS version meets system requirements (14.0 or higher)
  2. Try restarting your Mac
  3. Download and reinstall the app

🔧 Cannot paste clipboard content

Solution:

  1. Pasting requires Accessibility permissions. When you try to paste, the app will prompt you to enable this permission
  2. Go to "System Preferences" > "Security & Privacy" > "Privacy" > "Accessibility"
  3. Ensure Clipboard Safe is checked and enabled
  4. If already checked, try unchecking and rechecking. Note: Clipboard content reading does not require accessibility permissions

🔧 Shortcuts not working

Solution:

  1. Confirm Accessibility permissions have been granted correctly
  2. Check if other apps are using the same shortcuts
  3. Try reconfiguring shortcuts in app settings
